Great idea, but poor execution. The MagSafe charger doesn’t fit very easily within the sized hole. Once I got it in (which took a very long time) it’s still protruded out ever so slightly. And then the very first time I removed my phone from it, the magnet was so strong that it pulled the charger out of the rubber holder. A bit frustrating since it took me so long to get it and inside the Device in the first place….
I was super excited about this product and put it on my nightstand when I got it. But after a week, I stopped using it. Every time I tried to take my phone out, the magnetic charger kept coming out because of the strong magnetic force between my phone and the charger. Even after I tightened the magsafe into the holder. There is also no way to adjust the angle. The angle is about 45%, so the screen faces up. While I was lying in bed, I couldn’t see the time until I got up. It only really works if you have this on your desk or on something that it’s lower than you. Not ideal for nightstands. Not a big deal, though. The main reason that I didn’t like this is because my magsafe charger kept coming out so much that I was better off without using this stand.
unfortunately, my new MagSafe disk has yet to arrive. But this Chargeworx Charging Stand Compatible with Magsafe, looks promising. It has a squishy silicone feeling, but there’s a flat angled front with a perfectly circular hole for the MagSafe disk with an appropriate cut out. There’s a little cut out in the back for the cord to come out, which is nice as well. Angle is not quite high enough for me as someone with a keyboard tray, The angle is pretty up facing, which works best next to my keyboard. If you need a non-assuming ball for your desk, this is it.
The silicone material is both soft and durable, giving it a premium feel while ensuring it grips securely to any surface.The MagSafe compatibility is flawless.
